Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar visited various Chhath ghats of Nalanda district to take stock of the preparations for the great festival of folk faith, Chhath. In this inspection conducted along with MP Kaushalendra Kumar, the Minister particularly focused on the Bargaon area famous as the land of Lord Surya.
On this occasion, Minister Shravan Kumar said that this festival is an invaluable part of our cultural heritage. Therefore, the convenience and safety of the devotees is our top priority. Officials have been given comprehensive guidelines and have been asked to take full care that there is no shortage of essential facilities at the ghats.
These include proper cleanliness of the ghats, strong traffic system, round-the-clock security system, establishment of emergency control room, provision of drinking water and toilets, special changing room for women devotees, watch tower for monitoring, deployment of medical team, patrolling team. Formation of police, systematic vehicle parking, deployment of SDRF, special security at the entry and exit gates of the Sun Temple, especially the minister has also directed for construction of pandals for the fasting mothers and sisters.
On this occasion, Silav Block President Mukesh Singh, JDU’s Chief Spokesperson Dr. Dhananjay Kumar Dev, Mintu Chaudhary, Chandraprakash Verma, Saryug Singh, Ranjit Mukhiya, Sanjay Kushwaha, Sujit Kumar, Munni Sarpanch, Bantu Singh, BJP leaders Sudhir Singh, Mangal Singh. Many dignitaries including were present. The local administration has assured that all the arrangements will be completed on time, so that the devotees can celebrate the festival of their faith without any hindrance.
