Prashant Kumar Jaiser, resident of Karmi village, was shot by miscreants on the palm of his left hand on Ahrak Canal culvert in Baragaon area of Varanasi district. The young man went to the hospital riding a bike. After this he informed the police of Baragaon police station about the incident. The police are considering the incident as suspicious and are investigating.

Prashant told the police that he was having a property dispute with some people. He had left for his personal work at around five o’clock on Friday evening. While returning, miscreants riding a bike targeted him and opened fire near the Ahrak Canal culvert. The bullet fired from the weapon hit the palm of his left hand. Prashant told that after doing B.Tech he is preparing for competitive exams. After receiving the information, ACP Pindra reached the spot along with Baragaon police station incharge.
Police inspected the spot and interrogated the local people. On the other hand, Baragaon police station incharge Ajay Pandey said that neither shell casings nor blood spillage was found at the incident site. Local people also did not confirm the firing. The youth has filed a complaint against two unknown miscreants. After investigation, action will be taken as per rules.
Businessman beaten and injured
Murdhao, a businessman resident of Cholapur, was returning home after completing his duty on Friday. In Bhojubir, a man along with five associates beat up a businessman and seriously injured him. Also threatened to kill. The incident is of 16 September. On the instructions of higher officials, on the complaint of businessman Devesh Yadav, the Cantt police station has registered a case against Ayush Jaiswal, resident of Murdaha Bazaar, Cholapur, and five unknown people. Police is investigating this matter.
