There was an atmosphere of chaos on Thursday due to a fire at the Indian Gas Plant in Baragaon area of ​​Varanasi district. The fire started due to sudden leakage in the LPG tanker at gate number one. During this time, the fire was brought under control after a lot of effort. This scene was seen in the mock drill organized by the fire brigade, police force and paramedical staff to deal with the disaster situation at the Indian Gas Plant.

As soon as information about the fire was received on the wireless set of the plant in the afternoon, fire brigade, police force, paramedical staff and ambulance immediately reached the spot and started controlling the fire in the LPG tanker. During this time, the fire was controlled by stopping the traffic on Varanasi Lucknow Highway and using water cannon.

On getting information about sudden stoppage of traffic and fire, nearby people started running away from the spot. After the fire in the LPG tanker was extinguished, the villagers heaved a sigh of relief when they came to know that it was a mock drill. After the mock drill, the officials gave tips to the entire team to deal with emergency situations. During this period, dozens of people including Assistant Director Archana, Deputy General Manager Mrinmay Maji, Fire Officer Inderjit Verma, Safety Officer Rakesh Rana, Additional City Magistrate Anand Mohan Upadhyay were present.
