MoE New Guidelines For Coaching Centres: The Education Ministry has issued new guidelines for coaching centres. According to which now coaching institutes will not be able to register students below the age of 16 years. Also, no institute will appoint candidates having qualifications less than graduate level.
According to the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, coaching centers cannot enroll students below 16 years of age. Also, they will not be able to make misleading promises and cannot guarantee rank or good marks. The ministry has taken this decision regarding the increasing cases of suicide among students. In fact, many times it was complained that there are no arrangements and other facilities to control fire incidents in the coaching centres. Apart from this, complaints were also raised regarding teaching method.

Apart from this, it has also been said that no coaching center will appoint tutors having qualification less than graduation. Coaching centers cannot take the services of any tutor or any person who has been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude. Also, no institution will be registered unless it has a consultation process as required by these guidelines. Apart from this, the ministry has said that the centers should have a website. On which their complete details will be there. According to the instructions, due to tough competition and academic pressure on students, coaching centers should take steps for the mental well-being of students.
As per the guidelines, tuition fees for different courses and courses will be reasonable and receipt of payment should be given. If the student leaves the course mid-term after making full payment for the course, the student will be refunded on pro-rata basis the fees previously deposited for the remaining term within 10 days.
