Jugal Hansraj, who started his career with Shekhar Kapur’s 1983 film ‘Masoom’, worked a lot as a child artist. After this, he appeared in films like ‘Karma’ and ‘Sultanat’. When he grew up, Jugal started as a lead actor with ‘Aa Gale Lag Ja’ which was a semi-hit. After this, Jugal appeared in the film ‘Mohabbatein’ and this film was a superhit. After ‘Aa Gale Lag Ja’, Jugal Hansraj got about 40 films and he also signed them.
In an interview given to ETimes, Jugal Hansraj said, ‘When I was doing films, I signed 40 films but when some films flopped, the makers of those 40 films started moving away from me. At first I felt like crying but later when I got calls that the film is being closed or there is no work left, I used to say ‘thank you’ to them and hang up.’
Jugal Hansraj further said that whenever he used to go to the muhurat of a film, people used to taunt him. People started taunting him personally. Jugal told that he had to listen to a lot, had to endure a lot but one thing people should always understand is that in the film world people are good to you only till the time you are successful.
People don’t care about even the biggest stars when their films flop. After ‘Mohabbatein’, Jugal Hansraj did films like ‘Kabhi Kabhi Khushi Kabhi’, ‘Salaam Namaste’, ‘Aaja Nachle’ but stayed away from the industry for some time. Then he made a comeback with the film ‘Kahaani 2’ (2016).
Jugal Hansraj was last seen in Anupam Kher’s film ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ in the year 2022. According to reports, apart from films, Jugal Hansraj also does business.

Jugal Hansraj was born on 26 July 1972 in Mumbai. His father Praveen Hansraj was an Indian cricketer. Jugal’s father passed away on 28 January 2014.
