Monkeypox enters India first suspected patient found, isolated in hospital


Monkeypox case in India: Alarm bells are now being heard in India regarding monkeypox which has wreaked havoc in many countries of the world. In fact, a suspected case of monkeypox has been found in India as well. The Union Health Ministry said on Sunday that a person who had recently traveled from a country suffering from monkeypox transmission has been identified as a suspected case of this disease. According to the Union Health Ministry, the patient has been isolated in a designated hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

The Health Ministry said that the case is being restricted as per the prescribed protocol and contact tracing is also being done to identify the possible source and assess the future impact of this case.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently identified the threat of monkeypox as a public health emergency of international concern. The organization did this on August 14. The health organization has announced this when a new variant of this virus was recently identified

The Health Ministry said that there is no need for “extra worry” about this matter as the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) is looking into this matter. The Health Ministry said that there is nothing to panic about this. To deal with this, the country is ready to deal with such travel related cases. Also, a tracing channel has been established to identify such cases.
