Kamlesh murder case accused in police custody

A 20-year-old girl resident of Mallpur Jannu village on the eastern border of Bilari police station was killed by her married lover along with his friend by suffocating her with a pillow when she insisted on getting married. The body was taken to the jungle of Bichpuri village of Rampur district and thrown there.

Acid was poured on the body to hide the identity. The police disclosed the incident and arrested the accused lover and his friend and sent them to jail. On June 27, Maya Devi of Mallapur Jannu village had filed a case of kidnapping.
It was said that on the evening of 22 June, his daughter Kamlesh was kidnapped by Ram Singh, a resident of the village. Despite searching, no trace of his daughter could be found. The SSP formed a team under the direction of CO Bilari and directed to solve this incident soon.
The entire case came to light when the police and SOG team took the accused Ram Singh into custody and interrogated him. During interrogation, the accused told that he lives in Himachal Pradesh with his wife and children and works as a mason.
Three years ago, when he came to the village, he started talking to Kamlesh. After this, he also gave Kamlesh a SIM and a mobile. Due to this, both of them used to talk often. He told that on the evening of 21st June, Kamlesh called him and started pressuring him to marry her.
Even after my and my friend’s persuasion, she did not listen. In anger, my friend Jaiveer and I suffocated her mouth with a pillow. Kamlesh died shortly after. After this, the body was taken to the jungle of Bichpuri and acid was poured on it.
After this, both friends went to Himachal Pradesh. Both of them broke their mobiles and SIM cards and threw them in a river on the way. According to police station in-charge Ravindra Pratap Singh, both the accused Ram Singh and Jaiveer were arrested from their village Mallpur Jannu and presented in Moradabad court on Monday afternoon from where they were sent to jail.
The deceased’s slippers were recovered from the house of the accused
Bilari police recovered Kamlesh’s slippers, mobile phone and Aadhar card from the house of the accused Ram Singh on his information. The team that solved the case included station in-charge Ravindra Pratap Singh, SSI Ram Naresh Yadav, Ravi Prakash and Shantanu Jabla, constables Kaushal Kumar, Sachin Saini and Rajnesh Kumar.
According to the police, a case of theft and recovery of goods is also registered against Ram Singh in the year 2021 at the Bilari police station.
