The new time table of Railways may be released in January 2025. Moradabad division may get three new trains in this time table. At present, Railways will run the special express running between Tanakpur and Daurai regularly. Permission for this has been received from the Railway Board. North Eastern Railway will operate it.
From Tanakpur the train will go to Daurai via Bareilly and Moradabad. On the demand of devotees visiting Khatu Shyam’s court, the Railway Board has decided to operate the train regularly. Apart from this, there is a plan to run two Amrit Bharat Expresses between Delhi and Punjab and Bihar via Moradabad.
Route plans and timetables have been sought from zonal headquarters to run trains between Delhi-Darbhanga, Amritsar-Saharsa. After this the board will approve it. In a high level meeting of Railways held recently, 26 Amrit Bharat trains were discussed. In this, three can come under the share of North Eastern Railway and two of Northern Railway.
Senior DCM Aditya Gupta said that Amrit Bharat trains have normal sleeper and general coaches. There is no need for reservation in these trains. Passengers can travel by taking unreserved tickets. Keeping in view the traffic between Delhi-Bihar and Delhi-Punjab, Railways is planning to run these long distance trains via Moradabad.
However, no information has been sought at the divisional level. When the notice from the board comes, you will be informed about the route etc.
