People have started showing interest in purchasing MDA properties. Buyers were found for properties worth Rs 12 crore in the three-day property fair and investors meet. However, MDA had displayed properties worth Rs 400 crore for sale in the fair.
This includes 500 properties including residential, commercial, school plots and houses. MDA claims that many big investors are in contact with the authority to buy property. On completion of 50 years of Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act 1973, a property fair and investors meet was started in the MDA office on Monday.
MDA had planned to sell 500 of its properties worth Rs 400 crore in the fair. The properties were purchased through ‘first come, first served’, e-auction and lottery. Apart from this, there was facility of immediate allotment of property on registration on the spot itself.
On the first day on Monday, only 25 buyers came forward to purchase properties. Only eight properties worth Rs 78 lakh were registered. This included Ekta Vihar Tower, Ayurvedic dispensary and school plots. The fair ended on Wednesday.
In three days, people came forward to buy properties worth Rs 12 crore. MDA Vice President Shailesh Kumar says that the common people have got information about the properties of the authority through the property fair. For this reason many big investors have approached to come here. In future MDA will get benefits from investors.
