The Dussehra holidays gave wings to the tourism of Taj Mahal located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, more than 50 thousand tourists arrived to see the Taj Mahal. These include more than 5200 foreign tourists. The festival of Dussehra proved helpful in increasing the pace of the tourism season which started from October. The hotels and restaurants of the city were completely full on Saturday. More tourists are expected to arrive on Sunday also.
37105 tickets were sold from the ticket counter of Archaeological Survey of India on Saturday. Of these, more than 5200 are foreign tourists. There is free entry to monuments including Taj Mahal for under 15 years of age. In such a situation, more than 50 thousand tourists reached Taj on Saturday. Especially after 12 noon, there was a huge flood, which continued till the gates were closed in the evening.
