The platoon of Madhya Pradesh Police received the first prize in the state level Republic Day parade held at Batod, Gujarat. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel and Director General of Police Ashish Bhatia presented the award to Madhya Pradesh Police Platoon. Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena has congratulated the platoon of Madhya Pradesh Police for this award.
25 platoons took part in the 74th Republic Day celebration parade on 26 January, in which apart from Gujarat Police, BSF, Indian Coast Guard and other platoons also took part in the parade. It is a matter of pride and joy for Madhya Pradesh that among the platoons that participated in the parade from outside Gujarat, the Madhya Pradesh Police platoon got the first prize.
Sub-Inspector Shailendra Rajoria of 32nd Battalion, Ujjain led as the Platoon Commander. The reserve commander was Sub-Inspector Sandeep Davar of 34th Battalion Dhar. A total of 30 police officers and staff participated in the platoon while five remained in reserve.
Let me tell you, Prime Minister Modi had emphasized on the inclusion of platoons of neighboring states in the Republic Day celebrations for better coordination of police among themselves in the DGP / IG Conference-2015. In the same sequence, platoons other than Gujarat were included in the parade in the Republic Day celebrations-2023 organized in Gujarat.
