MUDA Scam Case: Lokayukta Police has issued a notice to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday (04 November) in the Mysore land scam case. CM Siddaramaiah has been summoned for questioning on November 6 regarding the MAUDA case. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati BM, who is also an accused in this case, was interrogated on October 25.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, “Yes, Mysore Lokayukta has issued a notice regarding MUDA. I will go to Mysore Lokayukta on November 6.” BJP is demanding the resignation of CM Siddaramaiah over the Muda scam. However, CM Siddaramaiah repeatedly said that he would not resign from the post. He has demanded the resignation of opposition leaders against whom FIRs have been registered. Parvati Siddaramaiah, the second accused in the scam case, has handed over all the 14 sites to Muda.

what were the allegations

In the case of land scam of Mysuru Urban Development Authority i.e. MUDA, it is alleged that these allotments were made without using the correct process. Regarding this, opposition parties and critics had also demanded resignation from Siddaramaiah. However, the Chief Minister of Karnataka rejected all these allegations and did not publicly accept any mistake. He said that the claims being made against him are politically motivated and are an attempt to tarnish his honour. All allocations have been made within the legal framework and ethical governance has always been followed.

Lokayukta police had registered a case against CM Siddaramaiah and his wife Parvati BM and their close relatives Devaraju, Mallikarjuna Swamy and others in connection with this scam following the order of the special court on September 25 this year.
