Aligarh’s Kachori is also famous among these special delicacies. As soon as the aroma of Kachori comes, everyone is drawn towards it like a magnet. Especially when someone is in Aligarh, then this craving increases even more.
There is always a long queue at the famous Kachori shop of Mukesh in Nai Basti area of Aligarh district. Here, Kachori is not served with chutney, but with potato curry and tadka raita. This shop is open from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
You have to wait for the kachori
The shop famous for many years as Mukesh Kachori has now been renamed as Krishna Kachori due to some legal reasons. But the people of Aligarh still know it by the name of Mukesh Kachori Wala. People reach his shop to taste his famous Kachoris from all over the city. Giving information, Mukesh Kachori Wala’s brother Bhagwan Das tells that his father started a small shop here about 30 years ago. Earlier we had to crave for even a single customer, but gradually people started liking our taste. Now, by the grace of God, many times people have to wait for half an hour to 45 minutes to eat Kachori.
Taste intact for 20 years
He further said that after his father, he and his brother Mukesh have been running this shop for the last 20 years. Two types of Kachoris are available here, one is soft and the other is crispy. The taste has remained the same for 20 years. That is why probably the old people still come to eat Kachoris at our place.
You get amazing taste for 30 rupees
Giving information, Bhagwan Das further says that special type of pure spices are used in our kachoris. This does not reduce its quality. After adding spices to it, we serve Lapetu Aloo ki Sabzi and Tadka Raita. This further enhances the taste of these kachoris. Here you get two kachoris for 30 rupees. People have come to eat these kachoris not just from Aligarh or UP but from all over the country including Bengal, Bihar and MP.
