Mukesh Khanna told in an interview to ‘On the Talks’ that, ‘Once Amitabh Bachchan was watching a movie in the theatre with his friends and one of his advertisements started playing on the screen. After seeing this ad film, Amitabh said, ‘Sala…copying.’
Mukesh Khanna further said that, ‘Someone else had told him this, so it is possible that he might not have said so… but I am a little egoistic. It was a matter of self-respect. I asked, are you telling the truth? He said yes.’
Was Mukesh’s career ruined because of Big B?
The actor said, ‘Later this thing came out in the media that Mukesh Khanna copies Amitabh Bachchan. Which started affecting my film career. One after the other, his 4 films flopped and my career started going downhill.’ However, Mukesh clarified on the matter of copying Big B and said, ‘He does not copy anyone. He works as he is.’
