Mumbai News: Prime minister Narendra Modi Police has arrested a person for entering PM Narendra Modi’s meeting place by pretending to be a fake soldier. In fact, about 90 minutes before PM Modi reached Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) on Thursday, a 35-year-old man from Navi Mumbai was arrested by the Mumbai Police.

The accused had tried to enter the high-security VVIP area, claiming himself to be a Naik from the Army’s “Guards Regiment”. According to media reports, the name of the arrested accused is Rameshwar Mishra, who was stopped by the Mumbai Crime Branch officials on suspicion. Sources told that the crime branch had monitored him for half an hour as he was roaming here and there before entering the secure zone.

Suspicion arose when they noticed that the accused was wearing an ID card of the elite National Security Guard (NSG) issued on January 13, an official said. It showed that he was posted as “Ranger” but the lanyard’s ribbon had ‘Delhi Police Security (PM)’ written on it.

Mishra claimed that he was on deputation to the Pathankot hub of NSG, following which the Mumbai Police decided to investigate. During investigation, it was found that his ID card is fake. Mishra has been booked under sections 171, 465, 468, and 471 of the IPC. At the same time, the case was presented in the Bandra court on Friday where the court sent him to police custody till January 24.
