Munawar Faruqui On Son Disease: The life of standup comedian and entertainer Munawar Faruqui has not been easy. The winner of Bigg Boss 17 recently talked about one of the most emotional chapters of his life. Munavvar revealed that when his son Mikhail was just one and a half years old, he was diagnosed with a rare disease named Kawasaki. At that time he did not have money to get his son treated.

During a podcast episode with host Janice Sequeira, Munawwar described when her son was diagnosed with the rare disease Kawasaki. In this, there is swelling in the blood vessels, due to which the risk of heart damage increases. Recalling that time, Munavvar revealed that during that time he did not have money to meet the expenses of his son’s treatment.
The injection was worth Rs 25 thousand, Rs 700 out of pocket
Munawwar said, “That situation scares me. My son was one and a half years old then. He fell ill and his condition did not improve for 2-3 days. After taking him to the hospital, we came to know that he was suffering from Kawasaki disease. Three injections were required and each one cost Rs 25,000, meaning I needed Rs 75,000 but I had only Rs 700-800 in my wallet.”
Munawwar had to ask money from people for the treatment of his son.
Munavvar also told that he had to ask for money because he had no other option left. He traveled to Mumbai Central, collected the money and returned within three hours. Although this brought him relief, he could not smile because it was not his money. Munawwar further said, “After that day, I resolved that I would never be financially weak again.”

Talking about Munawar Faruqui’s personal life, the stand-up comedian’s first marriage was with Jasmine, from whom he has a son, Mikhail. However, the marriage of Munavvar and Jasmine did not work out and they separated. Munawwar married Mehjabeen Kotwala, a make-up artist, for the second time in May 2024.
