Method of Mundan Sanskar
- Where to perform Mundan Sanskar- Mundan is often performed at pilgrimage sites or temples, such as Kashi, Haridwar, or any other religious place, however, it can also be performed at home at an auspicious time.
- Pooja and havan- Before the Mundan ceremony, puja and havan are performed. In this, blessings are taken by invoking Lord Ganesha, family deities and presiding deities of the family.
- Hair cutting process- After the puja, purification is done by sprinkling water or Ganga water on the child’s head. After this the child’s hair is cut.
- Hair immersion- It is considered auspicious to float the cut hair in a river or reservoir.
