An altercation broke out between illegal street vendors and the Municipal Corporation team in the capital Lucknow on Sunday. The altercation turned into a fight. The street vendors are said to be Bangladeshis. The matter pertains to Municipal Corporation Zone-7 Indra Priyadarshini Ward.

On receiving information about the fight, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The Mayor obtained detailed information from the Municipal Corporation employees and police officers present on the spot. Also gave instructions to investigate the matter.

Strict action will be taken against Bangladeshis

He said that strict action will be taken against Bangladeshis doing illegal business. The safety of municipal corporation employees will be ensured. The Mayor called the District Magistrate and Lucknow Commissioner and informed them about the matter.
