Muslim Village: India is a country where people of all religions and communities live together. From this you will come to know that no matter what a person’s religion is, his soul and way of life are almost the same.

The name of this village situated near Gumkhal and Duggada of Pauri Garhwal is Bhaidgaon. When people reach this village passing through the lush green fields, no one from a distance thinks that Muslims live here. Because the houses in this village are also built in the same way as the other houses in the mountains. The Muslim families living here have also reared cows, whose milk their family members drink every day and some people even sell it in other villages. Not only this, the people of this village also have their own fields, in which different crops are grown every year.

Muslim by religion, Pahari by heart
Now, even though this village is called a village of Muslims, but looking at the people here, you cannot say that they are outsiders, because these people have been living here for the last several decades and now they have become completely Pahari. These people use the same Pahari dialect as all the people of Uttarakhand speak. Their dress is also similar to that of the mountain people. A mosque has been built in the village, where people worship.

When did people come and settle here?
While on one hand all the villages of Uttarakhand are becoming vacant, on the other hand 50 families still live in this village and are earning their living by farming. The Muslims living here say that their ancestors came here from Najibabad and Rajasthan. Today 9th generation people are living in this village. They say that the air and water here keep their health good, that is why people return straight to the village after leaving their jobs.

The village is famous throughout Uttarakhand
This village situated amidst the mountains of Uttarakhand is very interesting for many people, people go here to see what the hill Muslims look like and what is their lifestyle. There is a constant flow of many YouTubers here. However, after reaching here no one feels that they are in a village of Muslims, because the people here have the same hilliness and affection which is seen in all the people of Uttarakhand.
