He was also tortured a lot during interrogation. Although he was later released, Otto Warmbier fell into a coma after returning to the US and died in June 2017.

Calvin Sun, another American citizen who stayed at the Yangkado Hotel, says that on the fifth floor of the hotel small rooms have been made like a bunker and most of the rooms are locked.
