NASA also gave a hint regarding this picture. In this, NASA said that “a dying star has created this celestial body in which the material of the outer layers was frozen at an interval of every 1500 years”, which created such a beautiful shape. By applying the correct parts to the black areas in this photo, a photo looks like a cat’s eye
Actually this picture is a picture of Cat’s Eye Nebula. The name of this nebula is NGC 6543. This is a planetary nebula present in the northern constellation Draco. This picture has been taken from the James Webb Space Telescope. Finding the distance between this type of nebula and the Earth is not an easy task, because these nebulae are only bodies of dust and clouds.
From the continuous observations made by the Hubble Space Telescope, scientists have come to the conclusion that the Cat’s Eye Nebula is located at a distance of about 3300 light years from the Earth. The Cat’s Eye Nebula was formed by the ejection of material from a star every 1500 years. This created shells of dust that formed an onion-like structure that looks like the Cat’s Eye Nebula.
Scientists are still puzzled as to how its shape evolved. Till now it has also been believed that the huge amount of matter emitted from the dying star was a change similar to the magnetic flux of the Sun. The exact reason for its size is being ascertained.
