On which occasions is the national anthem played?

• When the National Salute is given to the President or the Governor/Lieutenant Governor on ceremonial occasions in their respective States/Union Territories.
• Played during parade.

• The President’s address to the nation on All India Radio or Doordarshan should be played before and after the address.

There are rules regarding the national anthem in the Indian Constitution.
