The elections of National Chamber of Industries and Commerce in Agra were held on Thursday at Agrasen Seva Sadan located in Kamla Nagar. Atul Gupta was elected president unopposed. Voting was held for two vice-presidents, treasurer and five group members. Amba Prasad Garg and Manoj Gupta won the post of Vice President. Whereas Nitish Aggarwal won the post of Treasurer.
Voting started at 10.30 am under the chairmanship of Election Committee Chairman Mahendra Kumar Singhal. Out of 1320 voters, 865 cast their vote. Election was held among five candidates for the post of Vice President. In which Amba Prasad Garg got 376 votes and Manoj Gupta got 365 votes. The two candidates who received the most votes were declared vice presidents.
Nitish Aggarwal defeated Sachin Saraswat for the post of Treasurer by 441 votes. Nitish got 649 votes and Sachin got 208 votes. Newly elected President Atul Kumar Gupta expressed his gratitude to the Chamber members. He said that the airport in Agra, barrage on Yamuna and solving the problems of entrepreneurs will be his priority.
Election Committee Chairman Mahendra Kumar Singhal expressed his gratitude to the committee for conducting fair elections. Co-chairman Manish Agarwal, former president Sitaram Agarwal, Amar Mittal, Anil Verma, Shalabh Sharma, Shri Kishan Goyal and Rajesh Goyal etc. were present in the committee.
