Neeraj Chopra, Asian Games 2023: Due to technical reasons, there were some glitches in the men’s javelin throw event of the Asian Games, due to which the Indian players had to bear the loss. Now Indian fans are angry at the Chinese officials regarding this. On social media, Indian sports fans are accusing Chinese officials of cheating.
In fact, when Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra made his first throw in the men’s javelin throw event, his first attempt had to be canceled due to technical flaws. The officials asked him to throw the javelin again, in which he threw 82.38 meters. However, in the canceled throw, Neeraj had thrown his javelin at a very long distance. It is believed that this distance could have been more than about 87 meters. In such a situation, Indian fans got angry. Fans started venting their anger on China on social media.

Something similar happened with another Indian player Kishore Jeena. Kishore threw a legal throw but was shown a red flag. After much debate his throw was deemed legal. This throw was of 79 meters. However, later Jeena also achieved the top spot by throwing 86.77 meters in the third attempt. Neeraj Chopra also came second by throwing 84.49 meters in his second attempt.

Jena’s throw was declared invalid, Neeraj protested and it got reversed!!

Kishore Jena’s 2nd throw is counted legal as it should have been in first place.
Brilliant leadership shown by Neeraj Chopra to stand up against clueless and unjust Chinese officials.#NeerajChopra , #AsianCup2023 pic.twitter.com/0hGcMinu5I
