NEET PG 2023 Postponement SC Hearing Important Points: The Supreme Court of India has postponed the decision on the petition to postpone the NEET PG exam till the next hearing. The petitioners say that the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences should be asked to postpone the NEET PG exam 2023. The conduct of the examination has been fixed on 05 March 2023. - The petitioners say that the eligibility criteria has been modified twice. That’s why the examination should be carried forward.
- The date for completing the internship has been extended till August 11, but during this time they will not get any chance to prepare for the exam.
- The petitioners also say that the counseling of NEET PG is starting from August 11 and this is also the date for completing the internship. It is becoming difficult to strike a balance between the two.
- According to the report of PTI, the other side said that about 2 lakh candidates have registered for this exam and the postponement of the exam will affect the decision of all of them, while the petition to go ahead with the exam has been made by only a few students.
- The petitioners also said that due to the ongoing internship, the students are working 12 hours a day. In such a situation, they are not getting enough time to prepare for the exam.
- The court also asked how many students would be affected by this decision, to which the petitioner replied that although only 13 students have filed this petition, about 45,000 students will get the effect or benefit of this decision.
- The opposition said that this decision will create problems for the students who have been preparing for months and waiting for the exam.
- At present, the bench has not given any decision on this issue and has given the date of next hearing which will be on Monday.
