The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) yesterday. This year a total of 67 candidates have secured NEET All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a percentile score of 99.997129. This time many students and teachers have raised the question that how can one get 718 marks. After 720 you can only get 716 marks. It is not possible to get 718 marks. On which NTA has issued a clarification saying that some students had faced the problem of time loss in the exam, in view of which they have been given grace marks. Therefore, the marks can also be 718 and 719.
There has been an uproar since the PDF of the NEET result was shared on social media. Students and experts have alleged irregularities in it. They claim that the entire center was managed. The list of NEET 2024 toppers is going viral on social media. In this, the roll numbers of the students are the same and many of them do not even have a surname. Experts are raising questions on this. An expert said that NTA should give clarification on the fact that the students of the same roll number series do not have a surname in their names and everyone has scored 720 out of 720 marks.
Papers were received late
During the NEET UG 2024 exam, there was a delay in delivering the paper at some exam centers. Due to this, the time of many students was wasted. NTA has given grace marks to such candidates. Therefore, the marks of some candidates can also be 718 or 719.
