NEET UG Exam 2024 Not Canceled Due To Paper Leak Supreme Court Verdict


NEET exam will not be held again. The Supreme Court today gave its verdict on NEET UG. The CJI’s bench said that the exam will not be held again. The Supreme Court said that there is not enough evidence to show that the sanctity of the exam was violated.

The Supreme Court rejected re-examination for the NEET UG exam. The petitioners had argued that the question paper was leaked and there were systematic flaws in the exam. But the court reserved its decision and refused to cancel the exam. The Supreme Court heard the NEET UG case today. More than 23 lakh students appeared in the exam for 1 lakh 8 thousand seats. The exam has 180 questions, which carry a total of 720 marks. The petitioners raised the question of systematic failure and demanded a re-examination. Cases have also been registered against many people in the matter.

In today’s hearing, the Supreme Court refused to cancel the NEET exam. Due to the incompleteness of the CBI investigation, NTA was asked to clarify whether there was large-scale malpractice or not. The Center and NTA had cited the report of IIT Madras in their reply. The court said that in view of the facts available before it, it would not be right to conduct the exam again.

Those involved in fraud have no right to admission

The CJI said that the students involved in fraud will be separated. Action will be taken against the 155 beneficiary students found in the CBI investigation, even if the counseling has been completed. Students who are involved in fraud do not have the right to admission.

Uproar after the release of the score card

Protests have been going on across the country since the scorecards of the NEET UG exam were released. The agency had conducted the exam again for the candidates who had received grace marks. After which the number of toppers had declined. But allegations of the exam paper being leaked were constantly being made. Dozens of petitions had come to the Supreme Court. The hearing on which was going on and today the court has given its verdict.
