Scientists have been finding the fossil of a unique organism, which is neither an animal, nor a plant, nor a mineral, nor a microorganism like bacteria or fungus. It is called Eulenid and it is a confluence of different organisms. The world’s strangest creatures
Euglenids are a group of single-celled eukaryotic organisms. They prepare their own food like plants and also eat food like animals. They separated from other sea-dwelling eukaryotes about one billion years ago. Today very few of their fossils are found.
This is not any kind of creature
For years, these shell-like fossils were thought to be insect eggs, fern spores, etc. These fossils were not fitting into the classification of living organisms. Therefore scientists named it Pseudoskizia Shells. Many scientists have been finding many fossils of these creatures. These were present for 50 crore years till now.

When fossils were found recently
Researchers from Germany’s Heidelberg University found thin oval-shaped fossils of euglenids in the lakes of Greece. The special thing about these creatures is that they used to hide themselves in a special shell in times of pressure. But the problem of their interpretation forced researchers to investigate old research. This research was published in Review of Paleobotany and Palynology.
During the investigation he found a lot of literature but nothing was clearly established. Therefore, when researchers deeply investigated the fossils they found, they found that they were neither animals nor plants, nor did their structure resemble sea moss. After this, scientists explained the history of these euglenids, which will make it easier for other scientists to keep pace with the old information. The special thing is that these creatures have been able to survive every great destruction.
