Health department in the circle of questions
When there is a 50-bed MCH wing, why only 29 beds? Whereas every year the government gives budget per bed.
– When patients were to be admitted on 12 beds only, then why were other resources including goods, furniture, machines, beds called for 50 beds?
Why not operate emergency service in MCH wing? While seven doctors and 11 paramedical staff have been deployed simultaneously.
The locks of many wards were not even opened. Apparently, no official has visited here so far.
Why are the testing facilities not being provided in the MCH wing?
Open wing for better health services
Pregnant women and newborn children of the city got OPD, check-up, recruitment and other facilities under one roof, so a 50-bed MCH wing was opened in the district hospital premises itself. Pregnant women from Sarnath, Ashapur, Pahadiya, Ghausabad, Sindhaura, Hukulganj, Bhojubir, Chaubepur etc. areas of Varunapar come for treatment.
No beds in five wards, 14 lying idle
Eight wards of six beds each have been set up on the third floor of the MCH wing. Fan and AC are fitted. Ward information is also pasted on the doors, but there is not a single ward in five wards. The wards are covered with dust. There are 14 beds lying in three wards, but they have not been used yet. Expensive equipment has been bought and dumped. Can’t even use them. It is a four storey building. From the first to the fourth floor only dust was visible. The cleaning system is very bad.
Emergency does not work, a staff nurse and sweeper run the system
Emergency was not found running in the MCH wing on Wednesday morning. On reaching at 7 in the morning, it was found that there is no emergency room. There is no doctor for emergency. Only one sweeper was found. On asking, the sweeper told that there is no doctor. There is a staff nurse. Only she will see. The sweeper itself was giving sheets and other items to the patients.
The Chief Medical Superintendent of Deendayal Hospital is responsible for the care of the MCH wing. The matter of non-operation of emergency service, late arrival of doctors in OPD is serious. Answer will be sought from the doctors, staff as well as the Chief Medical Superintendent on negligence. – Dr. Sandeep Chowdhary, CMO
