India Nepal Tension :After showing some areas of India on Nepal’s currency, Nepal has done the same thing again. Now Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has called the areas of India as their own. He said that all the areas east of Mahakali river including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipu Pass belong to Nepal. Prachanda made this comment while answering the questions of MPs in the Nepal Assembly. He also said that the Nepal government is very clear in this matter. The Nepalese Prime Minister also mentioned the Sugauli Treaty signed between Nepal and the East India Company in 1816. He said, all these areas belong to Nepal. According to Prachanda, a political map of Nepal has also been published regarding this, in which these areas have been included.

Will solve border dispute together with PM Modi
Nepal’s PM said that he will meet Prime Minister Modi and resolve the border dispute. He said, he had also held a meeting with the Prime Minister regarding this during his visit to India. During the meeting, an agreement was reached to amend many agreements including the India-Nepal Peace Treaty. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Nepal had requested to resolve all the issues. This also includes issues related to border dispute. Prachanda said that Indian Prime Minister Modi has given a positive response to resolve all the disputes. Now Nepal has also sent a letter to India. It has written about holding the 7th meeting related to India-Nepal border.

This issue was raised earlier as well

This is not the first time that this issue of border dispute is being raised. Nepal had also presented its political map in May 2020. In this, Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura areas were shown in Nepal. During that time, India had strongly reprimanded Nepal. Last month also, a similar news came that Nepal has approved printing a new map to show some areas of India on its new note, after which a lot of controversy had increased. India had termed it a unilateral decision. India says that Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura are its areas.

Nepal shares its border with 5 states of India
India has always claimed Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura as its territories, but Nepal repeatedly presents a new map. Let us tell you that Nepal is adjacent to 5 states of India, which include Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Nepal shares a border of more than 1,850 kilometers with these states.
