New Criminal Laws In India : Today, on Monday, July 1, three new laws have been implemented in India, replacing the old three laws. From now on, the Indian Judicial Code has been implemented in place of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) which has been in force for years in the country. And the Indian Civil Protection Code has replaced the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

And the Indian Evidence Act will be used in place of the Indian Evidence Act (IEA). With the implementation of these three laws, the rules regarding FIR have also been changed. Now if someone is unable to go to the police station to register an FIR, he can register the FIR even while sitting at home. Let us tell you how.

Register an FIR from home

Under the new laws implemented by the Indian Justice Code, now if anyone wants to register an FIR, there will be no need to go to the police station. Now anyone can register his FIR sitting at home. Now electronic communication will be enough for this.

This means that now an FIR can be lodged from home through a message or email on the phone or through the official website of the police. This kind of facility in the new laws will help the police to take immediate action. Through this system, anyone can now register a zero FIR from anywhere.

this is the whole process

If you are not able to register an FIR by going to the police station, then you can register your complaint by visiting the official website of the police. Almost all the states in India have official police portals. Anyone can visit these portals and register a complaint. Here, while registering an FIR, you will have to give complete information about the incident. You will also have to give your name, address, time of the incident and its details.

If you have any photo or video related to the incident, then it will help the police in taking action and action can be taken quickly. When you register an FIR through electronic medium, then it will go to the investigating officer. After this, he can take action on it according to the seriousness of the case. If the case is serious then action can be taken immediately.

Otherwise, it may take up to 14 days to take action after the complaint. If you file an e-FIR, then within three days it will be included in the record and the FIR will be written. A copy of the FIR will be sent to the complainant by the police.
