No permission to exit Rajiv Chowk after 9 pm

Commuters will not be allowed to exit the Rajiv Chowk Metro station after 9 pm on Saturday night to reduce the rush of commuters on New Year’s Eve. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has taken this decision as per the advice of the Delhi Police. However, passengers will be allowed entry till the departure of the last train at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. DMRC’s Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communication) Anuj Dayal has requested commuters to plan their journey keeping this change in mind, so that there is no inconvenience in travel. DMRC has taken this decision in view of the crowd of people in Connaught Place on New Year’s Eve.
