NIA Chargesheet filed against Seven ISIS Terrorists Involved in Ballari Module Case


NIA: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a major step towards dismantling the anti-India module network of ISIS. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday (13 June) filed a chargesheet against seven accused involved in the Bellary IS module case.

The seven accused arrested by the NIA have been accused of recruiting and radicalizing youth so that they can work as terrorist sleeper cells. The seven terrorists are accused of being part of ISIS’s big conspiracy to prepare 50 sleeper cells in every district of India by 2025.

They were hatching a deep conspiracy against India

According to the NIA, all the accused were also hatching a conspiracy to establish the Khilafat system in India by waging jihad against the central government. Along with this, the NIA has filed a chargesheet against all the accused under various sections of the IPC, UA(P) Act, Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act.

Have carried out a trial blast in Bellary

The NIA investigation also revealed that the explosive devices prepared by the accused were made to spread terrorist violence in different parts of the country. The accused have already carried out a trial blast in Bellary, Karnataka and were sharing digital documents and data related to jihad with other youths. During the investigation, the NIA had seized explosive materials, sharp weapons, several incriminating documents and data related to jihad published by various terrorist organizations including ISIS.

Mohammed Suleman had declared himself the chief

The six accused named in the chargesheet had taken an oath of loyalty to their co-accused Mohammed Suleman alias Minaj, who declared himself the head of the group. Apart from Minaj, the NIA has also filed a chargesheet against six other people. The others have been identified as Mohammed Muniruddin, Syed Sameer and Mohammed Muzammil, residents of Karnataka, Anas Iqbal Sheikh, a resident of Maharashtra, Mohammed Shahbaz alias Zulfiqar of Jharkhand and Shayan Rehman alias Hussain of Delhi.
