NMC Says No New Medical College Approved: In this era of internet and social media, fake news spreads rapidly. Wrong news comes from one place and spreads everywhere without any effort. Something similar has happened in the medical world where false news has been spread about construction of new medical colleges and increase in MBBS i.e. UG and PG seats. This news spread so fast that NMC had to come forward and give clarification and say that this is fake news and do not trust it.

Recently the news was spread everywhere that many new medical colleges will be built this year, these have been approved. Due to this, MBBS and post graduation seats will also increase. However, the National Medical Commission has denied such reports and made it clear that no new medical college has been approved by the NMC. Neither the new medical college has been approved nor the UG and PG medical seats have increased.

NMC has said that this year’s medical applications are still in process and if any decision is taken in this regard, its news will be uploaded on the NMC website first.
It is written in the notice that the Medical Assessment and Rating Board, NMC has not given approval to any new medical college, nor have the UG and PG seats in various medical colleges been increased. No such decision has been taken yet for the academic session 2024-25.
Do not pay attention to such misleading news
MARB, NMC gives permission to open new colleges or increase seats. Applications for the establishment of 112 medical colleges and 58 applications for increasing medical seats were received in the year 2024-25, but work on these has not been done yet. NMC has said that such news is coming in print and electronic media which is completely fake. All concerned are informed not to believe such news.
