NNMSS Scholarship 2024-25 Registration Date Extended: The Ministry of Education has given another chance to apply for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme 2024-25. The last date for filling the form has been extended. Those candidates who have not been able to apply till now due to some reason, should fill the form now. 1 lakh scholarship every year
The Ministry of Education gives one lakh NMMS scholarships every year. This is for class 8th students who, despite being eligible, leave their studies midway due to lack of money. This scholarship is given to candidates who pass class 8 and go to class 9. Along with this, the scholarship can also be renewed from class 10 to 12. This scholarship is given to state government, government aided schools and local schools.
Who can apply
To apply for this scholarship, it is necessary that the candidate has passed class 8th with a minimum score. This is 55% for general candidates and 50% for SC, ST candidates. Along with this, it is necessary that the applicant’s family income from all sources should not exceed Rs 3,50,000 per year.
How much amount do you get
The amount that the candidates will get after being selected for this scholarship depends on their class and caste. The amount varies accordingly. For example, general category candidates of class 9th are given Rs 12,000 per year and SC/ST students are given Rs 50,000 per year. In class 10th, the same amount remains for general category candidates, only SC/ST candidates get Rs 57,000 per year.
How is the selection done
Eligible candidates fill the form by visiting the official website. After this they have to give an entrance test. This test is at the state level and is conducted by the Education Department or SCERT. The exam is offline and selected candidates are given scholarships.

- To apply, candidates have to visit the official website, whose address is – scholarships.gov.in.
- Go here and fill the one-time registration form. After filling this application form, you will get a unique 14-digit number which will be linked to your Aadhaar.
- After this, fill the application form in the prescribed format.
- Enter all the details properly and also submit the documents. After this, submit the form.
- After doing this, take a copy of the confirmation page and keep it with you. This will be useful for you in the future.
