After the construction of the railway station, it became easier for the people of Dayalpur to move from one place to another. But in 2006 it was decided to close this railway station. Railways had cited low sales of tickets as the reason for this. According to railway officials, if a station is located on the main railway line, then at least 25 tickets should be sold there daily. But this was not happening at Dayalpur station, so the station was closed.
Ticket sales target met

Keeping in mind the demand of the people, Railways has restarted this station in 2022. However, this station has been opened only as a halt and only 1-2 trains stop here. After this the local people resolved that this station would not be allowed to be closed. Therefore, the people here collect donations among themselves and meet the target of minimum ticket sales every day. So that the Railways does not close the station again.
