According to a report published by Moneycontrol, the first chief executive of Nokia in India was Sanjay Malik, and Tarun Chhabra was the senior vice president of Nokia Mobile Networks in India.
Thousands of people will be employed
Sanjay Malik had been heading Nokia in India for the last eight years, but now his services will continue only till March 31, 2024. In his place, the new head of Nokia India, Tarun Chhabra, will report to Tommi Uitto, President of Mobile Networks at Nokia. Nokia India has confirmed that Tarun Chhabra will start working as the head of India for the company from April 2024.
