Ingredients for Chak Hao Milkshake
Black rice – 100 grams
Milk – 1 liter
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Chopped dry fruits – 2 tbsp

How to make Chak Hao Kheer
To make the famous Manipuri Chak Hao Kheer, first clean the black rice and then wash it thoroughly 2-3 times with water. After this, keep the rice soaked in water for two to three hours. Rice takes longer time to cook, so if you want, you can put it in a pressure cooker and cook it till 4 whistles. Now take a thick bottom pan and add milk to it and heat it.

When the milk starts boiling after 3-4 minutes, add soaked black rice to it and mix it while stirring with the help of a big spoon. After this, let the kheer cook on medium flame for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. During this, keep stirring the kheer in between with the help of a big spoon, so that the rice does not stick to the bottom. After this, when the milk is reduced to half, add sugar to it and cook for 5-10 more minutes.
