Notes not withdrawn from ATM but money deducted from account, comes back within days

Now people withdraw cash from ATMs located nearby. But sometimes it has also been seen that people withdraw cash from ATM. But cash is not withdrawn but money is deducted from the account. In such a situation one has to face great difficulty. If there is not much money in someone’s account then there is more problem. But there is no need to panic, if this happens the money automatically comes back to the account. Let us know how many days it takes.

It takes maximum 5 days

According to the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India, if someone Have done transaction from ATM and the money has not been withdrawn but the amount has been deducted from the account. So in such a situation, the bank has to send the money back to the account within 5 days of the transaction. Although it has been seen on many occasions. If this happens, the amount is automatically reversed and credited to the account within 24 hours or 48 hours. But if this does not happen, then the bank has to compensate you for this. Which comes into effect after 5 days. If the bank does not return your money after 5 days. So he has to pay a compensation of ₹ 100 per day.

If this happens, what should be done first?

Normally, this does not happen while doing transactions through ATM. Would. But if this ever happens to you. So the receipt you get after the transaction. It should be kept carefully. And if the money is not withdrawn, you should immediately contact the customer care of your bank and inform them about it. Along with this, you can also go to your branch and lodge a complaint.
