The government has strengthened the communication infrastructure in the border areas and connected many remote areas of Ladakh with 4G network. These also include areas like Galwan and Demchok, which are located on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. Now people in these villages will be able to take advantage of 4G network. Indian Army in collaboration with Airtel has installed 42 4G towers at important places like Kargil, Siachen, Daulat Beg Oldie, Galwan and Demchok.

From online education to many other tasks, it will become easy

Having 4G connectivity in remote areas will bring many benefits to the people living there and the security personnel deployed on the border. Describing this initiative as a game change, the Army officer said that 4G connectivity will create new opportunities in online education. Because of this, people will get access to government services, which will lead to economic development in the area. This will also increase tourism in Ladakh. 

Let us tell you that there are many remote areas in Ladakh which are very difficult to reach. After the arrival of 4G connectivity, these areas will also be able to take advantage of internet related facilities. 

Starlink will also make internet access easier in remote areas

American billionaire Elon Musk’s company Starlink is also ready to launch in India. This company provides internet with the help of satellite. It does not require any ground infrastructure including towers or wires. This will make internet access easier in remote areas. Its service can be launched in India by next month. In future, Jio and Airtel are also going to start such service.

Spectrum allocation has been recommended

Telecom regulator TRAI has sent its recommendation for spectrum allocation to the Department of Telecommunications. After the allotment, Starlink will launch its service in India. Jio and Airtel have also completed their paperwork in this direction.
