This preparation has been done by Sugar Institute of Kanpur. There is just a delay in the arrival of the brand in the market.
Now not only sugar but also water will be made from sugarcane. A lot of water is used in making sugar. Sugarcane also released a lot of liquid which was of no use. But now this water will be refined and made potable. Necessary minerals will be added to this water and then it will be brought to the market in the form of a packaged bottle. This will be the first time that drinking water will be made in this way from a sugarcane unit. This water has been named sugarcane water.
Sugarcane water will come in the market
Lab testing has been completed to make potable water from the sugar refinery at the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur. The results have also come very positive. After that, work is now being done to produce drinking water on a large scale. For this, talks are going on with many sugar industries where it will be started. National Sugar Institute is preparing to bring this water in the market from the coming crushing season.
Preparing to build a big brand
Dr. Seema Paroha, Director of National Sugar Institute, said that while making sugar in the sugar refinery, a lot of contaminated water is released which goes waste. Many plans were being prepared to utilize this contaminated water. After this, testing was done by adding minerals to this contaminated water at the National Sugar Institute and it was made potable. The results in the lab have been very good. Now preparations are being made to do this at the industry level. Packed mineral water will be prepared from the coming crushing season and will be available in the market. National Sugar Institute will prepare it under the name of Sugarcane Water. Dr. Seema told that National Sugar Institute has prepared a special plan for sugarcane water. Preparations are underway to make it a big brand of drinking water across the country.
