Keeping this in view, America’s military branch is going to organize war exercises in the classroom. Space System Command (SSC) will create history by organizing the first such event. Its purpose is to prepare the American military for possible conflicts outside the Earth.
SSC has made an announcement in this regard on Thursday, April 11. According to this, the Space Force has signed agreements with two private space companies for its mission codenamed ‘Victus Hedge’, which is expected to be completed before the fall of 2025. The command has contracted with Rocket Lab National Security and True Anomaly for the Mission ‘Victus Hedge’ mission, which will provide space vehicles that can control the centers.
These space vehicles will be ‘The Jackal’ from True Anomaly and an unnamed vehicle from Rocket Lab. These will demonstrate the U.S. Space Force’s ability to respond to irresponsible behavior in space in a realistic operational environment.

According to a statement from the Space Force, the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) has awarded a contract worth Rs 2.67 crore to Rocket Lab National Security. It states that SpaceWERX will award a contract to True Anomaly. Whereas for Abhayan, a total of Rs 5 billion will be required, out of which half will be borne by the US government and the other half by True Anomaly. Lt. Col. McKenzie Birchenough, SSC materiel leader for Space Safari, says the commercial space industry is advancing at an unprecedented pace that will provide the Space Force additional options to quickly respond to adversary aggression.
Another SSC official, Col. Brian McClain, SSC’s program executive officer for Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power, said they are “looking forward to leveraging the innovations of the commercial space industry to counter China as a growing threat to the United States.” “Recognize the important opportunity.”
