The wait for the start of admission race in nursery class (entry level), KG and first class under the academic session 2025-26 in about 1700 private schools of the capital is about to end. The admission race for general category (75 percent open seats) in all schools is going to start from November 28. Parents will be able to submit the application form till 20th December. The Directorate of Education has issued guidelines regarding the admission process. At present, guidelines have been issued for 75 percent (open seats) of general category, separate instructions will be issued for 25 percent seats of economically backward class and deprived class. Parents will have to pay only Rs 25 for the form.

Once again the Directorate has given freedom to schools to prepare admission standards. However, schools cannot include standards removed by court order. Schools will have to upload these admission standards and the marks prescribed for them by November 25 on the link given on the website of the Directorate. According to the circular issued by Education Director Vedita Reddy, schools will have to complete the admission process on the basis of this schedule, they cannot make any changes in it. Schools must ensure that the forms are available to the applicants by the last date of December 20. It has been clarified in the instructions that schools can charge only Rs 25 from parents as admission registration fee.
