Ravichandran Ashwin On ODI World Cup 2023: If we look at the picture of Ravichandran Ashwin’s place in the Indian team in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 from 2 to 3 months ago, his name was not there at all. Even when the 15-member team was announced for the World Cup, Ashwin was not a part of it. After this, after the injury of Axar Patel, Ashwin was included in the team for the ODI series against Australia and after that now he is also a part of the World Cup team. Now after being selected in the team, Ashwin said that even he had not thought of this 2-3 months ago. Apart from this, Ashwin also said that this may be his last World Cup.
While talking on Star Sports, Ravichandran Ashwin said about his selection in the World Cup team, to be honest, I was not thinking that I would play the World Cup. In the last four to five years, I have been enjoying my game and in this tournament also I will go on the field with the same mindset. I can’t say much about it but I can say this much that this could be my last ODI World Cup.
Ashwin further said that you can just swing the ball both ways and I think I can do that. How you handle pressure in this big tournament is going to be the most important thing. That’s why I want to play my game with the mindset of enjoying it.
Indian team will start its campaign in Chennai
If we talk about India’s schedule in the ODI World Cup 2023, Team India will start its campaign on October 8 with a match against Australia in Chennai. After this the team will play the second match against Afghanistan on October 11. There will be a clash with Pakistan on October 14 at Ahmedabad ground, while on October 19, Team India will play against Bangladesh at Pune ground.
