Kailash Kumar/Bokaro:- To get relief from the increasing heatwave and scorching heat in Bokaro, people are consuming healthy drinks like lassi, fruit juice etc. In such a situation, the 40 year old Bel Sharbat shop located in front of Sector 1 Saint Xavier School of Bokaro is quite famous, where especially the best fresh Bel Sharbat is prepared and sold. People traveling often relieve their fatigue and refresh themselves through sherbet.

Shop operator Ram Kumar told Local 18 that he has been running his shop here for more than 15 years and this shop was started by his father Ishwar ji in the year 1965. In those times, Bel Sharbat was sold at the rate of two rupees per glass. Today its price is Rs 10 per glass.

This is how to make wood apple juice
Bael sharbat seller Ram told Local18 that he buys bael fruit from the vegetable market for Rs 700 to 800 per bag. Besides, once a week they pluck vines from nearby forests and bring them back. Regarding the process of making Bael Sharbat, seller Ram told that first of all, the shell of the Bael is broken and its inner part is taken out thoroughly and washed in water. Then it is mixed well and filtered with sugar and served to the customer. A separate juice of wood apple is prepared for diabetic patients without sugar.

what time does the shop open
Seller Ravi told that 80 to 160 glasses of Bel Sharbat are sold daily at his shop. He operates the stall from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm and sells tea during winters.

Customer Umesh ji, who came to drink wood apple juice, said that drinking wood apple juice in summer is beneficial for health, because it provides coolness to the body. Besides, it also removes the problem of gas and indigestion.
