Rural Suresh told that the years from 965 to 1375 are inscribed in these idols. But these idols remain a mystery till date. The villagers told that when the son-in-law of Faraud village of Naradhanu village came here to pick up his wife, the women tied earthen pots on the cot of the son-in-law and made him swim in the village pond. When the son-in-law woke up, he died seeing water all around him. The person of Naradhanu village burnt those women alive by locking them in a fence, since then these mysterious idols have appeared from the earth by themselves.
No one has been able to count these idols till date
Suresh told that no one has been able to count these idols. When these idols are counted, the count is different every time. Till date this thing remains a mystery. The villagers told that even if these idols were counted by King Poornmal by tying them in a horse rope, they could not be counted. On counting for the second time, the number of idols came out different. That’s why these idols are mysterious.
Human sacrifice was given in the temple
The villagers have various legends regarding these idols, one of which is that in ancient times human sacrifice used to take place here. Any person from four-five villages was sacrificed. The person who had to be sacrificed would automatically come and stand in front of Bhairu’s temple and he would automatically die. These sacrifices were not counted. That is why these idols have appeared.

These idols are located in Faraud village of Jayal subdivision of Nagaur district. Which has a mysterious history till date. Even in the present time no one has been able to count them till date.
