Shivpuri: A strange case has come to light in Amolpatha village under Karaira tehsil of the district. There is neither electricity supply nor transformer for the last 20-22 years. Still, an electricity bill of lakhs of rupees has come in the name of the late father of a young man. The puzzled young man is pacing the offices. He has given an application to the collector to cancel the bill and notice.
The young man told that his father had died, yet a bill of lakhs of rupees came in his father’s name and the electricity department also sent a notice. According to the information, Devi Lal’s son Jaggu Ram Jatav resident of village Amolpatha Tehsil Karaira told in the application given to the collector that electricity connection N2568000097 in his father’s name has been arbitrarily billed by the Electricity Department Karaira. Along with this, a notice has been given, in which the entire amount has been asked to be deposited.
Demand to cancel the bill from DM
Devilal told that his father Jaggu Ram son Ramua Jatav has died and on the spot there is neither electricity nor any transfer has been kept in Amolpatha for the past 20 to 22 years, whereas the Electricity Board has arbitrarily done the work by Karaira. Bill is being given without light. A notice has been given to deposit its amount of Rs 1,98,593, which is completely wrong. Due to this, Devi Lal has demanded the collector to cancel the notice and the bill.
