In such a situation, for the purpose of conserving water in a river of Chhatarpur, the women of the village gathered and did such a thing that now not only they are being praised everywhere, but more than 2 dozen villages which are facing water crisis in the summer season. Water is also available.

The Kathan river has passed near Deoran village of Badamalhara tehsil, where 70 women tied sacks in the river bank. The women told that the summer season has come, due to which the water of the river has reduced and due to less water, there is a problem of drinking water for people and animals.

Women decided after meeting
The women told that the Parmarth Samaj Sewi Sansthan is working selflessly in our village, in which Manvendra Singh and Kalpana Chaurasia held a meeting in our village and told everyone about water. Told what kind of water problem will be there in the coming time. He even told how to conserve water. We understood all his points very well. After this, the queen Ahirwar of the village held a meeting with the women and decided that why shouldn’t all of us women tie sacks on our Kathan river.

Named as Jal Saheli
On the first day, 20 women together brought gunny bags from their homes and started tying gunny bags in the river. The next day 70 women came and together they made a bundle of about 400 sacks. By tying sacks of women, the water level will not only increase in many villages and the water of the river will also be protected. Now everyone is appreciating these women. All these women have been given the name of Jal Saheli.
