If you are not able to travel timely by taking a general ticket. Then your ticket is considered cancelled. In such a situation, TTE may impose a fine of Rs 250 on you. This fine is imposed by the Railways on traveling without a ticket. Because if your general ticket expires. So in such a situation you are considered ticketless. Apart from this, the station from where the train started running and where you were caught. You also have to pay the fare till there.
