The mega block going on for a month in Roza of Shahjahanpur will end at 12 midnight on Tuesday. After this, all the 54 trains of Lucknow-Delhi and Dehradun-Lucknow route which were cancelled and diverted will start speeding up. The operation of 22 trains is starting from Tuesday.
Mega block started in Roza from the first week of July. Trains were cancelled and diverted from 20 to 31 July. Due to this, 54 trains passing through Bareilly were affected. On an average, 10-12 thousand passengers faced trouble daily. The operation of 16 trains which were cancelled due to the block has started. The operation of 22 trains will start from Tuesday. The remaining 14 long distance trains will start speeding up from Wednesday and Thursday.
At the same time, the operation of two trains which were being run intermittently will also become regular. Rakshabandhan and Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival will be celebrated this month. Passengers are expected to get relief with the resumption of operation of cancelled trains. Senior DCM Aditya Gupta said that the remodeling work in Roza has been completed. By August 7, the operation of all trains will start normally.
